About Sharon
Sharon has been a high school math/chemistry teacher since 1985. She had the opportunity to live in New Mexico for 13 years. When she moved back to Morgantown WV, she started my Reiki journey. She is a Reiki Master and has apprenticed under her teacher. In 2016 she was certified in vibrational sound therapy. She opened The HOV in 2016 as a place for others to come relax… through sound therapy with bronze bowls, Reiki sessions, meditation and jewelry making. She chose the name “The HOV” for two reasons: the first because it is her nickname that her high school students in New Mexico gave her. The second is from her last name itself. Her husband’s family was from Norway and lived in a hov… an inlet at the sea. That meant relaxing at the sea was relaxing at the hov. Both seemed perfect reasons to select the name The HOV.
